ROSE (Research Opportunities for Science Educators) is confirmed for Summer 2023!
Posted: Apr 07, 2022 - 12:00am
Science teachers from across New Mexico will be coming to Albuquerque for a summer research program sponsored by UNM and the NM PED (Public Education Department) in summer 2023. Last summer’s program brought 20 teachers into chemically-oriented research projects with faculty from CCB, Biology, Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The participating teachers joined research groups with undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral scientists, working on research projects by external agencies including the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health.
ROSE helps teachers refresh their chemistry knowledge, experience “hands-on” cutting-edge research, use modern lab equipment and software and learn more about science departments at UNM. The application form and specific dates for application, notification, and participation will go online in January 2023.
