Seminar - Can We Predict Where a Nanoparticle Goes? Structure-Kinetics Relationships from Chemical Design to In Vivo Fate

Friday September 25, 2026, 4:00 PM

Prashant Dogra, University of Southern California

Prashant Dogra seminar flyer

Prashant Dogra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Associate Director of the Center for Quantitative Drug and Disease Modeling at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, co-advised by Vittorio Cristini and C. Jeffrey Brinker, and completed postdoctoral training in the Mathematics in Medicine Program at Houston Methodist Research Institute, where he later served on the faculty before joining USC in 2025. His lab integrates multiscale mechanistic modeling, quantitative systems pharmacology, and machine learning to predict how therapeutics behave in the body and how diseases respond to them. His research spans model-informed drug development for biologics and nucleic acid therapeutics; rational design of nanoparticles and advanced drug delivery systems; tumor growth dynamics and personalized oncology; and infectious disease dynamics and vaccine response. His work is supported by the NIH and NSF, including an R01 held jointly with Achraf Noureddine at UNM and an NSF award on immune system digital twins.

Hosting group: Noureddine

Seminars will be held in Clark Hall 101 at 4:00 pm
