Where: PAÍS construction site, NE corner of Redondo Drive and Yale Mall

When it opens in Fall 2019, PAÍS (Physics, Astronomy and Interdisciplinary Science) will be a state-of-the-art facility serving as a hub of innovation and research while providing space for students, faculty, and staff to collaborate on many of the leading problems facing the world today. Its construction was made possible by General Obligation (GO) Bond money approved by New Mexico voters in 2016.

Please join us on this active construction site as a ceremonial beam is raised in celebration of the structural framing nearing completion.

Ceremony hosted by Mark Peceny, Dean, College of Arts and Sciences.
Remarks by President Garnett Stokes and other UNM dignitaries.

Light refreshments will be served following the formal program and raising of the beam. The event is free and open to the public.
