General Chemistry Lab Important Dates
First Two Lab Meetings (student not attending these meetings will be dropped):
Week One: Lab safety meeting. The Monday sections will need to complete the on-line lab safety assignment before the second week's meeting. Please go to webct (http://vista.unm.edu) for detail.
Week Two. You must go to the section you register to check in. Attendance will be taken in the beginning. If you miss any activity of the lab check-in you might be dropped. The section you registered can be found from LOBOWEB, under your registeration record. You need to bring your LOBOCARD and a printout of the registrated courses that shows the lab section you want to check in. If you have an emergency or official duty, you must contact the teaching lab tech (pat at pbeene@unm.edu for room 207, or Gary at bushman@unm.edu for room 109) within 10 hours of the check-in to keep your registration for the section.
Last Day to add: Thursday (1/28) at 5:00 P.M. We will not accept any student after the deadline.
Last Day to drop without a grade: 2/5/2010.
Last day to drop from a course without Dean’s approval (WP/WF required): 4/16/2010
Last day to drop from a course with Dean’s approval (WP/WF required): 5/7/2010
Lab Check-out: 5/3 to 5/6/2010
The lab checkout is required for all students, including those who drop during the semester. A $50 fine will be charged to you if you fail to check out by the prescibed date and when scheduled at your lab section start time. A $20 fee for drawer lock and key will also be charged to your account. Your drawer will be checked by teaching lab tech if you fail to checkout and you will be charged for any missing or broken iterm.
