Endowed Chair
Help Us Establish
The Guido H. Daub Endowed Chair in Chemistry
The University of New Mexico Chemistry Department has begun a campaign to create a lasting honor and tribute to Dr. Guido Daub, a key architect in the development of the UNM Chemistry Department in the period of 1949-1984 and an internationally recognized synthetic organic and bio-organic chemist.
Funds are being raised to establish the Guido H. Daub Endowed Chair in Chemistry. This will be the first endowed chair in chemistry at UNM, and one of only three endowed chairs in the College of Arts and Sciences. Endowed chairs are the most effective means to attract and retain world-class scholars who are leaders in their fields.
Establishing a chair in chemistry depends upon key donors with the vision and commitment to provide lead gifts as well as many smaller gifts from individuals.
You can help in a number of ways. You can join the committee that has been working on this project. You can also send this website to other individuals who you think could be interested in the project. And of course, a donation toward this important project would be a gratefully accepted!
