Be in Your Element
Donors to Elements of Success, groups and individuals, can purchase sponsorship of one or more of the elements in the periodic table. For a gift of $250 from individuals or $1,250 from organizations and businesses, donors can select the elements that seem most appropriate to their individual interests (for example, a jeweler might purchase Au, gold).
An actual periodic table of the elements will be constructed from plaques denoting the donors or commemorating the individuals of their choice. The completed table will be about six feet by four feet and will be placed prominently in the entrance foyer of Clark Hall, the chemistry building. The table itself will be both educational and handsome; and hundreds of students, staff and faculty will pass by the Elements of Success each day.
Each donor will receive a certificate indicating official UNM ownership of the selected element. Most importantly, donors will experience the deep satisfaction of knowing that they have played a vital role in improving the undergraduate experience in chemistry.
